Introducing the Headless Arc Engine API: File Attestation on Testnet
The Headless Arc Engine API is now available on testnet. External clients can begin integration testing against the Attestation Service — the pipeline that transforms your organization's files into cryptographically sealed, on-chain-anchored records with a verification trail built for regulatory scrutiny.
What the Arc Engine Attestation Service Does
Most document integrity approaches rely on access controls and audit logs — records of who touched a file and when. That is access history. It is not proof. When a regulator, auditor, or counterparty asks whether a document is the same document that existed at a specific point in time, access logs cannot answer the question.
The Arc Engine Attestation Service is different. It is the tokenization layer that transforms your organization's documents into permanent, intelligent digital assets — beginning with cryptographic proof of file integrity at the moment of attestation. Each file submitted through the external Certify API is SHA-256 hashed, attested with structured metadata on IPFS, and anchored on-chain by reference. The result is an ARC-verified attestation record: tamper-evident, independently verifiable, and traceable without reliance on Archivista infrastructure. The Verification SDK gives external clients the tooling to confirm attestation status against the on-chain record directly — a chain of custody your compliance officer can present to a regulator.
Key Capabilities
- External Certify API — Submit files for attestation through the Headless Arc Engine API; each file is SHA-256 hashed and processed through the full attestation pipeline without requiring an Arc Box Platform session.
- IPFS attestation metadata — Structured attestation records are stored on IPFS with an on-chain reference, producing an immutable, decentralized proof layer independent of any single storage provider.
- Verification SDK — External frontends can query and confirm attestation status against the on-chain record directly, with cryptographic verification that requires no trust in a third-party intermediary.
- Verification Page — An Arc.box-hosted verification interface provides a human-readable attestation status view, ready for QA and client-facing audit workflows.
- Subgraph indexing — Attestation metadata is indexed via subgraph for efficient querying, supporting audit and compliance reporting use cases at scale.
Getting Started
The Arc Engine Attestation Service is available on testnet for external client integration testing. API access is provisioned on request — contact your Archivista account representative to begin onboarding. The Verification SDK is available for external frontend integration; decryption helpers and additional SDK utilities are in active development and will ship in the next release.
