Announcing Vault-to-ARC Conversion: Files Become Trusted Assets in Clicks
Raw files sitting in a Vault are accessible. They are not yet provable. With Phase 5 of the Vaults release, Arc Box Platform closes that gap: select one or more files, trigger Create ARC, and the system generates a tamper-proof ARC Draft with those files pre-attached and ready to certify. The path from raw upload to cryptographically sealed organizational asset now takes minutes, not a separate workflow.
What Vault-to-ARC Conversion Does
Most enterprise document workflows treat file storage and record certification as separate systems — a folder lives in one place, an approved record lives somewhere else, and the connection between them is a manual step that breaks under audit pressure. Files accumulate without chain-of-custody. Compliance officers inherit folders, not proof.
Vault-to-ARC conversion is different. When your team selects files inside Arc Box Platform and initiates Create ARC, the system creates an ARC Draft for each selected file — or a single consolidated draft for a batch selection — with the source files already attached. No re-upload. No manual re-linking. The file's provenance inside your decentralized enterprise vault carries forward into the ARC record itself. From draft, your team reviews, completes, and certifies through the standard Arc Box certification flow. The result is an Authentic Record Container: tamper-proof, ARC-verified, and AI-readable by Vista AI.
Key Capabilities
- In-vault conversion — Select one or more files from the Vault view and trigger Create ARC without navigating away from your data context.
- Pre-attached source files — Files are linked to the ARC Draft automatically; no re-upload or manual attachment is required, preserving origin provenance.
- Confirmation and navigation — After creation, the interface confirms which files were included and provides direct navigation to the new ARC Draft, reducing the risk of orphaned records.
- Audit-grade lineage — Because conversion originates inside Arc Box Platform, the resulting ARC Container inherits the vault's access controls and carries a full lineage trail from raw file to certified asset.
- Tenant-wide availability — Vaults is now live across all full tenants, including Everkeep, making this conversion path available to every organization on the platform.
